PROGRAM SUMMARY: An essential component to the Education Sector Strategic Plan’s (ESSP) First Nations, Métis and Inuit Student Engagement and Graduation Rate Outcome is to ensure learning environments are responsive to student needs, and a focus is placed on the importance of relationships and shared responsibility. In support of the Truth and Reconciliation’s Calls to Action and to make a positive impact on Métis, First Nations and Inuit students, educators from provincial systems and First Nations education organizations worked together to create capacity building professional learning opportunities for all in-school administrators across the province. This is an informational session for the Leading to Learn Initiative and an opportunity to explore its connection to the ESSP.
